Elden, the Starlight Pines B&B is located in Flagstaff, Ariz., less than three miles from Grand Canyon National Park and the Continental Country Club. Approximately eight miles from this bed and breakfast is the Riordan Mansion State Park and the Museum of Northern Arizona. Walnut Canyon, home of some of the best Native American ruins in the country and Montezuma's Castle, are just ten miles away.
Hotel Features. Starlight Pines B&B, designed in classic Victorian style, boasts broad, oak plank floors and romantic antique filled rooms with Tiffany lamps. The details of old fashioned romance are prevalent throughout this bed and breakfast, which proudly disallows the presence of televisions or VCRs. A 70 foot wrap around porch with swing invites guests to relax, and 14 foot ceilings, picture railings and two wood burning fireplaces give this bed and breakfast a homey and elegant atmosphere. A full gourmet breakfast is served by cheerful hosts in the bright and airy dining room each morning.
Guestrooms. Upon entering their guestrooms, visitors will find fresh flowers, antique claw foot bathtubs with bubble bath and fluffy bathrobes. Similar to the rest of the house, the guestrooms are outfitted with Southwestern antiques and Tiffany lamps. Sweets are offered at turndown, and guests can request breakfast in bed on those "sleep in" mornings.
Expert Tip. Starlight Pines B&B features the Western art of a local artist and sculptor by the name of Bennett Zinnecker, who makes an appearances at the property most Sunday mornings. His art work hangs on almost every railing in the home, and is available to purchase.
