Location. Located at the base of the majestic Winter Park Resort, this full service hotel is a Winter Park, Colo. landmark and has been voted one of Conde Nast Traveler's "Best 50 Ski Resort Hotels." Located near the Arapaho National Forest, the tiny village of Winter Park hosts one of the largest ski areas in Colorado. Lakes and reservoirs located in Arapaho National Forest offer fishing and other recreational opportunities.
Hotel Features. The classic lobby is dressed in warm tones and natural wood with soft lighting. The hotel features a large outdoor pool and jetted tub, along with a fitness center and dry sauna. A small business center located in the resort offers high speed Internet access, and the conference center can host events for as many as 250 people. A billiards table is located in the library and the hotel has a ski shop that provides ski and snowboard rentals and sells merchandise such as gloves and goggles. Guests receive lockers for ski storage and the hotel has its own ski shuttle with limited hours. The city of Winter Park has a free shuttle that makes a stop at the Vintage.
Guestrooms. The hotel has 118 guestrooms with views of the Continental Divide, the pool and the ski area. All rooms feature cable television, dial up Internet access and video games. Some units boast amenities such as lofts with spiraling staircases and fireplaces. Studios have kitchenettes with refrigerators, ranges and microwave ovens.
Expert Tip. Visitors can avoid the mountain drive by taking the Ski Train from Denver, a comfortable and historic route that starts in Denver and drops off at the base of Winter Park. Majestic mountain vistas can be viewed from this train, which cuts under the Continental Divide through the Moffat Tunnel.
