Location. Located just 40 yards from the Zephyr Express lift, the Zephyr Mountain Lodge enjoys an ideal ski in/ski out location in Winter Park, Colorado. Beautiful mountain vistas set the backdrop for outdoor fun in this year round resort community. Set in the center of Arapaho National Forest, the tiny village of Winter Park hosts one of the largest ski areas in Colorado. Lakes and reservoirs located nearby offer fishing and other recreational opportunities, and the area is prime for hiking and mountain biking. Other area pursuits include an alpine slide, a climbing wall, a human maze and several golf courses. Complimentary shuttle service transports guests from the resort to the main village and back.
Hotel Features. The lodge consists of two modern mountain lodges, the seven story Slopeside and the eight story Riverside. The lobby features a stone fireplace, fieldstone floors and comfortable furnishings. Heated underground parking is offered and there are shopping opportunities on site. Four jetted tubs are located outside and there is a fitness center on the property. Safe deposit boxes are available at the 24 hour front desk and concierge service is offered. Guestrooms. Each of the one and two bedroom condos feature modern décor with natural woodwork, large windows and gas fireplaces. Full kitchens are standard and come with refrigerators, ranges and microwave ovens. Internet access is offered and each unit has cable televisions with VCRs.
Expert Tip. Visitors can avoid the mountain drive by taking the Ski Train from Denver, a comfortable and historic route that starts in Denver and drops off at the base of Winter Park. Majestic mountain vistas can be viewed from the train, which cuts under the Continental Divide through the Moffat Tunnel. These luxurious guest accommodations are spacious and well appointed. All apartments are equipped with gas fireplaces, richly decorated living rooms and fully equipped gourmet kitchens.
