Location. Sitting on a 25 acre wooded lot, the Hi Country Haus is located near restaurants and shopping in Winter Park, Colorado. Although not as popular as Aspen or Vail, Winter Park attracts more than one million skiers and snowboarders per season. Not far from the Arapaho National Forest, the tiny village hosts one of the largest ski areas in Colorado. Visitors can avoid the mountain drive by taking the Ski Train from Denver, a comfortable and historic route that starts in Denver and drops off at the base of Winter Park. Majestic mountain vistas can be viewed from this train, which cuts under the Continental Divide through the Moffat Tunnel. A free shuttle transports visitors to ski areas and about town. Lakes and reservoirs located in Arapaho National Forest offer fishing and other recreational opportunities.
Hotel Features. The resort features an indoor pool, jetted tubs and a game room. Parking is complimentary and laundry facilities are located on site.
Guestrooms. Accommodations range from studios to three bedroom condominium style units. All accommodations feature a balcony and a kitchen with a refrigerator, range, microwave oven and cookware. Cable television and VCRs are also standard amenities.
Expert Tip. Amaze'n Winter Park is a multi level labyrinth which offers prizes to participants who can "beat the clock." The maze is changed every week to keep it interesting and there is an observation deck where visitors can get a birds eye view of the maze ad surrounding scenery.
