Location. Tucked away in an intimate garden setting, the Courtyard at Lake Lucerne, is located within a few blocks of downtown Orlando, Florida's business and financial district. Attractions within two miles of the property include the TD Waterhouse Center (home of the Orlando Magic, Bob Carr Center for Performing Arts and the historic Church Street Station. Orlando's various amusement parks are a twenty mile drive. On site activities include relaxing in the garden, exploring Lake Lucerne or traversing the walking trail that begins on the grounds and extends through the Lake Cherokee Historic District.
Hotel Features. Guests will stay in one of the four houses that comprise this unique getaway, including the Dr. Phillips House, I.W. Phillips House, Norment Perry Inn and Wellborn Suites. The décor of the homes ranges from Victorian to Art Deco. Guests are often found sitting on the verandah sipping wine from the complimentary carafes that greet them. An expanded continental breakfast is served each morning, in addition to a cocktail hour.
All the rooms and suites at The Courtyard at Lake Lucerne are equipped with television, telephone, private bathroom, and air conditioning. Honeymoon suites and rooms in the Dr. Phillips House include jetted tubs.
Expert Tip. The Dr. Phillips Victorian Mansion serves as the venue for a local production of "A Christmas Story" every December. The candlelit dining room and Victorian guestrooms provide the perfect setting, and the tale is told exactly as it was written as a ghost story.
